Every 10 years as required by Municipal Land Use Law, Franklin Township reexamines the master plan and makes any amendments and adjustments that are considered necessary.
In 2004, the township created a brand-new plan, designed to prevent overdevelopment and sprawl. It basically replaced the 1999 plan, and has been modified twice since its introduction. The most recent reexamination was in 2024.
