The holiday this past Monday and the ice/snow storm Monday night into Tuesday morning impacted our ability to pick up trash and recycling this past week. In addition, two of our trash trucks experienced mechanical issues which rendered them inoperable for two days.
The trucks have been repaired and returned to service. Our employees are working to catch up with everyone's pickups, and will continue through tomorrow morning until the pending snow storms accumulate too much to continue.
"Again," said Finley, "I apologize for any inconvenience, and we will do our best to pick up all trash and recycling while keeping in mind the life and safety issues resulting from the two back-to-back storms.
