Outside Story Time!

Mondays, July 11, 18, 25, and August 1 @ 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 

Meet us outside for story time! We’ll read books, sing songs, and do finger plays. Best for ages 2 - 6 and registration is not required. For additional information, please call the library Monday through Friday between

Mad Science Presents Wacky Science

Tuesday, July 5 @ 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This show is a crowd favorite. It tackles several science concepts including super absorbents, polymers, static electricity and Dry Ice. A fantastic show for all ages. Registration is required. Rhyme Time Outside!

Wednesdays, July 6, 13, 27 and August 3 @ 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Develop baby's motor, sensory, and social skills through exploration of short books, rhymes, songs, and more! Open to ages 0 - 2 and registration is not required. Science Investigators: Owl Pellets

Thursday, July 7 @ 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

This month we are investigating owl pellets! All owls produce pellets and dissecting them is a great way to find out what different owls eat!  Open to grades 2 - 5. Big Bird’s Adventure: One World, One Sky

Tuesday, July 12 @ 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Explore the night sky with your favorite friends from Sesame Street in Big Bird's Adventure: One World, One Sky. Follow along with Big Bird, Elmo, and their friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, as they take you on a journey of

discovery to learn about the Big Dipper, the North Star, the Sun, and the Moon. All ages welcome and registration is required. For additional information or to register, please call the library Monday through Friday between

You Pick Book Club

Each month we choose a different theme and you read a book that fits within the theme. This month’s theme is “Summer.” Open to grades 6 - 12. Teen Take and Make: Ocean in a Jar

Friday, July 15 - All day, between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This month pick up a little bit of the ocean at the library. We provide everything you need to make an Ocean in a Jar! Open to grades 6 - 12 and registration is required. Page Turners Book Discussion Group

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY MEETING

Saturday, July 23 @ 9:30 a.m.

Please come join us for our monthly meeting at Franklin Township Library, 1584 Coles Mill Rd., Franklinville. New members are always welcome. Stop by to learn how you can support your library!   Due to library renovation, meeting will be held on the Community Center side of building.


INFORMATION ABOUT ONGOING RENOVATIONS

While the library undergoes renovation, it will be closed to the public until further notice. All library services will be suspended during this closure period. All materials that are currently checked out will automatically renew until the library reopens. Overdue fines will not accrue during this period. The outside book drop will not be available for returns. As our collection has been moved to a storage facility, we are unable to provide curbside pickup service at this time; however, museum passes will still be available for borrowing to Franklin Township adult cardholders. Passes are available for: The Battleship New Jersey Museum, The Museum of the American Revolution, The Brandywine Conservancy and Museum of Art, Mt. Cuba Center, Wheaton Arts & Cultural Center, and Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge. Various restrictions apply for each pass. Please call the library between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for additional information. (856) 694-2833, extension 1. Summer Reading Programs will be held outside or in one of the Community Center meeting rooms. The Franklin Township Community Center is located at 1584 Coles Mill Road, Franklinville.
