Our New Veteran's Advisory Committee is Now Active!

Town News Posted on January 19, 2026

Statement of Veteran's Advisory Committee Chair Scott Brown:

"The committee of eight local veterans is prepared to hit the ground running.

These veterans are of different eras, different branches of service and have served on many different levels. The common denominator is that we are all living in the township and are concerned for our fellow veterans, their families and their issues that may arise.

We have decided to meet at 7:00 PM on the third Wednesday of every other month, beginning January 21st at the Franklinville VFW Post 2071 located at 2179 Delsea Drive, Franklinville, NJ. Thereafter, we have planned March 18, May 20, July 15, September 16 and November 18 as our regular meetings -- but we will not be limited to just those dates as we progress.

The committee has many great ideas, and are encouraging our fellow veterans to come out and support one another. We would love to see family members and caretakers of veterans to learn more about benefits and idea that may help you in your journey.

Finally, we are hoping for our neighbors to come out and learn more about those who have served. There are many people who stop us and say, “thank you for your service.” There is no better way to show your gratitude than by showing up and helping us."
