March - Tire Amnesty Month

March 2021 is "Tire Amnesty Month" in Gloucester County. 

Tires are a primary breeding ground for mosquitoes, which can carry West Nile Virus. The collected tires are ground to chips which are used for construction projects within the facility and county. By collecting tires in March, they can be shredded in April before mosquito breeding season begins.

County residents can dispose of up to 10 passenger-car and pickup-truck tires at no cost Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
This program is for Gloucester County residents only. No tire drop-offs from commercial businesses will be accepted
